Dr. Ya-Yu Chiang was determined to be the winner of outstanding female researcher as a faculty. She clearly elaborates the innovative concept of continuous liquid-liquid separation technology which enables to bring impact on advanced chemical manufactures.

The versatile system design and interdisciplinary study scope of advanced lipid-lipid separator makes it more practical and brings it to the bright future for the industrial application. The theoretical exploration as well as the solid scientific findings set a better foundation for future applications, especially with the assist of machine learning tools. The completeness of the accumulated work also demonstrates her excellent contribution in STEM fields. However, it is expected to elaborate the content precisely so that the innovation of her works can be caught on easily.

Overall, Dr. Chiang was considered to be strongly aligned with Corning core value and deserved to be praised as a leading figure in STEM fields.
