Our Team at COSPAR 2026, Florence

Our team joined the 46th COSPAR Scientific Assembly in Florence, Italy (1 to 9 August 2026). Tzu-Yu delivered her presentation with confidence and clarity, and we are proud of her. We also presented a joint abstract with Prof. Ichiro Ueno (Tokyo University of Science), which drew the interest of an ESA bio-experiment team based in France. We hope this opens the door to a new collaboration.

Holding a space science assembly in Florence carried a meaning of its own. This is the city where the Medici family put their money behind scientists, artists and engineers, and where that patronage produced work no individual scholar could have afforded. Next door in Pisa, Galileo argued that two objects of different mass reach the ground at the same time. Four centuries later the same question is still being asked with better instruments, in drop towers and in orbit. For a laboratory working on fluids across gravity levels, the week felt like standing at one end of a long conversation.
